## Why Pratva (vs other "eco" cups)

Most paper cups marketed as "eco-friendly" still use PE (polyethylene) or PLA (polylactic acid) plastic coatings. These shed 25,000+ microplastic particles per serving into hot beverages. Pratva uses aqueous coating technology — a water-based barrier that bonds into paper fibres with no separate plastic film. The result: truly zero microplastic shedding, fully re-pulpable with normal paper waste, and no special recycling infrastructure required.
